I am seeking a part-time programmer to develop FS2004 aircraft and
other custom modifications. Software skills are most essential,
although experience building a full-scale cockpit would be helpful as
well. Work may be done at home, although occasional on-site visits to
Southwestern Pennsylvania would be necessary.

Capable/motivated students at all levels will be considered (high
school through grad school). Please email if
interested.

It's not a part time job for one. And any student with the skill set to program FS2004 AC and add-ons already has full
time offers with plenty of part time work that doesn't require travel.

Well actually the travel is in part so that I can demonstrate the actual
performance of a high performance airplane with advanced avionics to assist
the programmer... most FS2004 programmers probably would enjoy that I would
think.

I don't know what your paying but it would make a great resume job for a student or entry level programmer. I passed
your message onto a student I know that just doesn't have the time between school and sidework. He was interested,
until I told him about all the ramp up he'd have to do. No way he could fit it in. That and the travel time back and
forth.

The travel could be optional; I certainly could instead work through
revisions of an aircraft or avionics model via email. Thus location is not
an obstacle for this work, but rather free pressurized, high performance
airplane flight time (loggable as instruction) would be included for anyone
close enough to travel to SW Pennsylvania. Familiarity with FS2004
customization would be essential though. It would be an ideal position
either for a home simmer interested in a future aviation career or a serious
simmer who already creates his own aircraft or add-on scenarios and would
like to turn a hobby into a sideline income. If you know of someone who
meets either scenario ask them to contact me.
